Out of sight...

This painting is from a large progect, mapping the progress off the variouse waters of buxton, following there progress as the join the river wye. The painting here is perhaps not so picturesk but shows the reality of rivers and what they pass through between town to beauty spot to city to sea. This river is at the start of its journey and has travell under a whole town befor reaching this point. Nature still sneaks back in and you might well see a heron, river plants and fish at this point. I love the resiliance of nature. This series is set in Buxton, Derbyshire but i feel that this is a project of understanding that i am not yet done with. Infostructure meets water and both carve the land.
